At The Kong Academy Ltd, we value the trust you place in us when booking a place on our programmes or events.
This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for both programmes (e.g. The Path of the Scholar) and events (talks, panels, and workshops).

1. Programmes (e.g. Way of the Analects, The Path of the Scholar)
We understand that personal circumstances can change, but due to the limited number of spaces and advance preparation required for each cohort, our refund policy for programmes is as follows:

Cancellations made 8 weeks or more before the start date
→ Eligible for a 70% refund of all fees paid.
(30% of the total fee is retained to cover administrative and preparatory costs.) -
Cancellations made less than 8 weeks before the start date
→ Non-refundable. However, participants may request to transfer their place to another cohort or programme within the same calendar year, subject to availability and written approval from The Kong Academy. -
After the programme begins:
→ No refunds or transfers will be granted once a programme has commenced. -
Deposits:
→ Unless stated otherwise, all deposits are non-refundable and will be deducted from the total programme fee.
All cancellation and transfer requests must be submitted in writing to info@thekongacademy.co.uk.

2. Events (Talks, Panels, and Workshops)
We aim to make our events as accessible and flexible as possible.

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the event date
→ Eligible for a full refund. -
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event date
→ Non-refundable, but you may transfer your ticket to another person upon request. -
If The Kong Academy cancels or reschedules an event
→ You will be offered either a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to a future date.

3. Processing of Refunds

Refunds are processed to the original payment method used at the time of booking.

Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Refunds may be subject to transaction or processing fees imposed by payment providers (e.g. Wix Payments, Stripe), which are non-recoverable once payment has been made.

4. Exceptional Circumstances
In the event of serious unforeseen circumstances (e.g. medical emergencies, visa issues, or force majeure events such as natural disasters or travel restrictions), we will review refund or transfer requests on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
